Recently, we took to Twitter, to ask the public what their favourite places to eat were, and why. Glasgow’s West is full of unique eateries all over, making it difficult to choose where to go but hearing from other people who have been to these places can make it a little bit easier.

Koko House, located just off Byres Road, is a beautiful café that makes homemade Japanese souffle pancakes. Their light and fluffy texture makes them jiggle on the plate as well as being delicious. Their coffee designs are adorable, as seen in the image taken from a Twitter user. Koko House is in a prime location of the West End making it very easy to find. They also offer a range of savoury crepes for those who aren’t in the mood for pancakes.

The same Twitter user also recommended Old Salty’s, which is located at the top of Byres Road. It is like a more refined chippy. Offering a range of classics like a fish supper, as well as some Italian meals. As stated in the tweet, they also have a range of cocktails making this restaurant a perfect date location for fish lovers especially.

I Love You Desserts is an underrated café, despite its prime location on Byres Road which offers a range of home baked treats for an exceptionally good price.

Another Twitter user mentioned Bar Soba, having a cosy and warm environment with comforting food. Bar Soba offers Asian street food and bottomless drink brunches, what more could you want?
Down To Earth is a mostyly vegan restaurant but uses dairy for those who prefer it and some meat options, which all have locally sourced ingredients. A big part of Down to Earth are their cold pressed juices, having different flavours every morning which can be great source of energy when you’re on the go.
Urban West, located on Great Western Road is a great spot for breakfast, brunch or a coffee. Their menu has everything you need to tackle a hangover.
